A few months ago I walked into Central Coast Surf Shop in downtown San Luis Obispo to buy a candle. Right. Not exactly customary surf shop buying habits, but as I was being rung up I noticed a scissor tattoo on the girl’s wrist. Intrigued, I asked her if there was a story behind it. She replied simply “I’m a seamstress”. Needing some tailoring anyway, I half-jokingly asked her if she wouldn’t mind tailoring some shirts for me. She replied “Of course”. And now, 6 shirts in, I wear them almost exclusively compared to the rest of my wardrobe. I found that fit is a more telling factor in whether or not I’ll wear a piece of clothing than color, material or any other factor. Even more exciting, she’s coming out with her own clothing line, called, incidentally……….Scissor! Excellent branding. Here she is during one of my drop-offs. Notice the Blackberry. Respect.
Sweet! Does she want an online/store website? I’ll set up a Shopify store for her at very low cost if she’s interested!

Where is she located? I have a TON of clothing that needs to be altered and have not found a reliable seamstress in slo yet.
Sure thing! You can go to her website here: http://www.scissorclothing.com and contact her through her contact page there, or call/text her directly at 518.339.0394. I’ve already let her know you need some work done, so she’ll already be expecting your call. She’s an awesome seamstress, and a lot of fun to be around, so I’m sure you’ll enjoy working with her. Cheers!
I would be grateful if you continue with the quality of what we are doing now with your blog … I really enjoyed it
